Site "Good" More Vulnerable from Porn Sites

Appearances can be deceptive, not to mention internet sites. This is, among others, as outlined in the Cisco 2013 Annual Security Report.

As quoted from VRZone, Cisco explained that the links found more dangerous on the site that looks ordinary, compared to web sites, which obviously involved in the "dark side" of the Internet, such as pornography and piracy.

According to the network specialist, sites that seem safe can be store malware link in greater numbers than expected.

Surprisingly again, Cisco also revealed that porn sites are often more secure than e-commerce site or a search engine.

The possibility of an Internet users infected with malware through advertising on the site "safe" 182 times bigger than a porn site, obviously Cisco. It added that the ads on pharmacy and gambling sites are not always boarded by malicious programs.

Meanwhile, the possibility of accidentally downloading malware from a search engine that is not clear, 27 times greater than those sites that are deliberately displaying pirated software.

Cisco reports that distort common assumption is also mentioned that most internet users have misperceptions about Internet sites that are considered dangerous.

"Many security professionals and most user-online-has its own shadow on websites such as what seems dangerous," wrote Cisco in the report.

Another interesting thing is also revealed by these findings is the rate of growth of malware on the Android platform that reached 2577 percent in 2012. On the other hand, the number of e-mail spam globally recorded decreased overall by 18 percent.

Surprisingly, e-mail spam show trends down 25 percent on weekends.
