60% of Android users 'Loss' in Jelly Bean

Review46 - The latest statistics published in early 2014 Google suggests that users of the Android operating system that has been migrated to the latest android os KitKat is still a very small percentage. The majority were still using os Jelly Bean.

Over the span of December 2013 until January 2014, Google's Android 4.4 users KitKat record only reached 1.4%. This is due to very limited update to the latest OS that wants to adopt it.

So far, as quoted from ZDNet, Wednesday (15/01/2014), the new Android KitKat adopted by some devices, like the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Moto X, Galaxy S4 GE, and HTC GE.

Noted, many Android users are still 'jammed' in Jelly Bean, Gingerbread, and Ice Cream Sandwich. Although Android Jelly Bean v4.1 slumped down 1.5 points and made 35.9% of its market share to stay, but this version is still the most widely adopted today.

Meanwhile, two versions of Jelly Bean newer, versions 4.2 and 4.3, respectively grew by 2.5%, thus making the total of adoption Jelly Bean became almost 60% overall, 59.1% to be exact.

On the other hand, the distribution of Android 2.2 Froyo, 2.3 Gingerbread, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and also further decreased. Users Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich respectively shrank 2.9% and 1.7%.

Google also noted, there are still users who rely on Android 3.2 Honeycomb with a percentage of 0.1%. While other older OS like Android Donut, Eclair, and Froyo, has been officially abandoned.

Not long ago, Gartner research institutes also have to make a prediction, of a total of 1.9 billion mobile phone units to be shipped world wide during 2014, approximately 1.1 billion of which will rely on Android.

Operating systems 'green robot' is also expected to increasingly dominate the market with a percentage of at least 45% in all devices. The previous year, the Android also has mastered 38% of the market. Android dominance is predicted to continue to 48% in 2015.
