BlackBerry Ready to Secure Android and IOS

BlackBerry launches security solutions Secure Work Space for iOS and Android devices. This is a security solution that targets the corporate segment in order to manage or control the Android and iOS devices employees through the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES 10).

With Secure Work Space, Android phones and iPhones can be activated in a personal profile and a business profile. Users can group applications and data in the second profile.

BlackBerry claims to Secure Work Space gives security applications for email, calendar, contacts, jobs, memos, editing documents, surfing the internet.


"With a unified management console, our clients can now view all the devices they have in their network, managing the devices and connecting them safely," said David Smith, Head of Enterprise Mobile Computing BlackBerry, as quoted by Reuters.

Part of information technology (IT) firm can manage the data and applications are grouped in a profile in the mobile phone business employees. However, IT departments are able to access the data and applications are grouped into personal profiles, including photos, videos, games and so personal.

This service does not require a VPN configuration or complicated gateway for applications that are behind a corporate firewall. Targeting the target BlackBerry users from corporations and governments.

In the BlackBerry 10 operating system, this kind of feature called BlackBerry Balance.

Business security solutions 10 BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES 10) was launched in January 2013. Until June, BES 10 has been used in 18,000 corporate server. This number is up from 12,000 servers last May.
